Introducing our School Council 2014-15. We meet once a fortnight to discuss a variety of issues and initiatives and feel we are listened to.

The Role of the Student Council

  • Link between students and school management
  • Student voice to outside groups i.e. Ofsted
  • Gathering and feeding back information
  • Offering vital feedback on new ideas
  • Link with Governors
  • Representing their tutor groups

What Does the Student Council Do ?

Some examples of issues that the student council have been involved with over the past year:

  • School Council had an important role in assessing new catering companies
  • Meeting with Ofsted inspectors
  • Fund raising
  • Consulted on the new uniform proposals
  • Police Panel

£1469 was raised for Sport Relief in 2014 - A new JWS record.
